Regional Donations Manager – OAR Foundation (Part Time Volunteer)

Job Description:

The Regional Donations Manager at the OAR Foundation will oversee and manage the foundation’s donation strategy and fundraising efforts within a designated geographic region. This role is responsible for cultivating relationships with donors, managing fundraising campaigns, and increasing donor engagement to support the foundation’s mission. The Regional Donations Manager will work closely with the development team to meet fundraising goals and ensure the smooth administration of all donation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies within the assigned region to increase donations and donor engagement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and community groups to secure financial support.

  • Plan and execute regional fundraising events, campaigns, and outreach activities to raise awareness and generate contributions for OAR’s initiatives.

  • Track and report on regional donation progress, providing regular updates to leadership and the development team.

  • Manage donor stewardship, ensuring timely and personalized communication, including thank-you notes, updates on impact, and event invitations.

  • Ensure that all donations are properly processed and recorded, maintaining accurate and up-to-date donor records in the database.

  • Develop and distribute regional fundraising materials, including appeal letters, donor brochures, and event invitations.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop targeted messaging for regional donors.

  • Organize and attend meetings with major donors to discuss giving opportunities and explore ways to further engage them in the foundation’s mission.

  • Provide regular reports on fundraising performance, analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

  • Work closely with the volunteer team to engage regional volunteers in fundraising efforts and events.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, including donor stewardship, major gifts, and planned giving.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence donors at all levels.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple fundraising projects and meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in donor management software and CRM systems, with experience in tracking donations and donor engagement.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in cultivating and securing donations.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze donor data, report on trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Passion for supporting veterans and a commitment to OAR’s mission of addressing moral injury, veteran advocacy, and humanitarian work.

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region and attend fundraising events, meetings, and conferences.

This role is ideal for a dynamic and results-driven individual with a passion for fundraising and making a difference in the lives of veterans and those affected by moral injury. The Regional Donations Manager will play a key role in growing the foundation’s donor base and advancing its mission through strategic donation efforts.
